An independent Swiss luxury watch manufacturer known for producing high-end mechanical timepieces with a strong focus on craftsmanship, in-house movement development, and refined design. The brand operates in the high luxury segment and is respected among collectors for its quality, exclusivity, and traditional Swiss watchmaking expertise.
This Swiss luxury company is seeking a strategic yet hands-on Marketing Communications & PR Manager who will
elevate brand awareness, deepen brand understanding among target audiences, and drive demand generation
contributing directly to sales and profitability recovery. As a lean organization, this role requires a hands-on executor who can both design strategy and personally implement initiatives across PR, communications, and marketing activation.
The successful candidate must be capable of maximizing exposure and impact with controlled budgets, leveraging
strategic PR, earned media, and smart media allocation.

- 1. Brand Strategy & Demand Creation
• Develop and execute a local marketing communications strategy aligned with global HQ direction
• Define priority target audiences (Collectors, UHNWIs, Next-Gen Wealth, High-End Watch Enthusiasts)
• Strengthen brand positioning in Japan to ensure brand becomes a “chosen brand,” not only a
known brand
• Translate brand equity initiatives into measurable demand generation
• Contribute directly to revenue and margin recovery through effective communication strategies
2. PR & Strategic Media Relations
• Develop and execute a comprehensive PR strategy to maximize earned media exposure
• Translate and localize HQ press releases into compelling Japanese narratives
• Proactively pitch stories to luxury, watch, lifestyle, and business media
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key editors, journalists, stylists, and KOLs
• Design strategic PR campaigns around launches, CEO visits, anniversaries, and key milestones
• Ensure maximum exposure through integrated earned, owned, and selectively paid channels
• Monitor PR performance and media value
3. Communications Tools Development & Operations
• Develop and manage communication tools including:
o Newsletters (client & prospect focused)
o LINE official account
o Social media (Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.)
o Event invitations and CRM-linked communications
• Ensure consistent storytelling across all touchpoints
• Improve engagement metrics (open rate, CTR, follower growth, interaction rate)
• Collaborate with CRM, Sales and Retail teams to support conversion
4. Integrated Marketing & Budget Optimization
• Develop annual communication and activation plans
• Allocate marketing budget efficiently to maximize exposure
• Balance PR and selective advertising to achieve highest ROI
• Design retail-support campaigns aligned with sell-out objectives
• Measure and analyze campaign effectiveness
• Optimize media mix under budget constraints
5. Hands-On Execution
Given the small team structure, the candidate is expected to:
• Personally draft press releases (local topics) and communication materials
• Coordinate directly with agencies (when applicable)
• Manage production timelines
• Execute social media content
• Oversee event logistics when required
• Support retail activations
This is not a supervisory-only role. It requires direct operational involvement.

Qualifications

• Strong English proficiency (HQ communication required)
• Experience managing communication tools and digital platforms
