This company is a global supplier of compact electromechanical components supporting thermal management, airflow control, and automated movement functions in transportation systems. The Japan office is a small commercial and engineering hub that coordinates with domestic manufacturers while relying on overseas production sites. Their products include small motors, actuators, fluid‑handling devices, and integrated motion modules used by major vehicle makers and their upstream module suppliers.
In this role you will lead customer-facing engineering projects from concept through mass production while managing an engineering team. Acting as the primary technical interface between customers and internal engineering functions, you will ensure projects meet customer requirements, schedule, quality, cost, and performance targets. The role combines project leadership, technical problem solving, customer engagement, and people management within an international engineering environment.

- Project & Customer Management
・ Lead multiple engineering projects from concept through production launch.
・ Manage project schedules, KPIs, resource allocation, and project execution.
・ Build strong customer relationships and understand current and future technical requirements.
・ Participate in customer meetings, technical discussions, conference calls, and customer visits.
Engineering Leadership
・ Manage and support the daily activities of the engineering team.
・ Lead cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and commercial functions.
・ Resolve technical issues, remove project obstacles, and coordinate internal resources.
・ Report project progress while ensuring milestone and delivery targets are achieved.
Technical Solution Development
・ Develop application strategies and technical solutions for new projects.
・ Perform technical feasibility studies and engineering evaluations.
・ Lead quotation reviews and technical cost analysis.
・ Obtain stakeholder alignment on product concepts and engineering decisions.
Product Development & Validation
・ Define customer specifications and product requirements.
・ Develop and execute Design Verification Plans (DVP).
・ Lead product validation activities and production launch.
・ Support engineering changes throughout product development.
Design Quality & Continuous Improvement
・ Promote Design for Manufacturing & Assembly (DFMA).
・ Apply Quality Function Deployment (QFD) methodologies throughout development.
・ Utilize lessons learned and continuous improvement practices.
・ Oversee engineering documentation and technical reporting.

- 応募資格（必須）
- ・ Ability to work in the Toyota City area of Aichi Prefecture.
・ 5+ years of experience in Mechanical Design (CAD and preferably Simulation)
・ Experience managing engineering teams or technical projects.
・ Manufacturing background, preferably in Automotive, Motors, Actuators, Drive Systems, Industrial Equipment
・ Strong customer-facing communication and stakeholder management skills.
・ Experience collaborating with global teams.
・ Native or Fluent Japanese
・ Intermediate-level English
