Electrical Development Engineer – Automotive Thermal Systems

This company is a global supplier of compact electromechanical components supporting thermal management, airflow control, and automated movement functions in transportation systems. The Japan office is a small commercial and engineering hub that coordinates with domestic manufacturers while relying on overseas production sites. Their products include small motors, actuators, fluid‑handling devices, and integrated motion modules used by major vehicle makers and their upstream module suppliers.
In this role, you will support the electrical development and validation of automotive thermal-management products.
You will be responsible for circuit design and evaluation, EMC compliance, brushless-motor and control-system development, customer technical discussions, and cross-functional project coordination. You will also contribute to product improvements related to performance, quality, cost, and manufacturability.

- ・Design and evaluate electrical circuits for automotive thermal-management products.
・Support EMC design, testing, troubleshooting, and corrective actions.
・Evaluate brushless-motor technologies and related electronic control systems.
・Participate in technical discussions and requirement alignment with automotive OEM customers.
・Coordinate internal and external development activities from design through production launch.
・Conduct CAD-based design reviews, structural analysis, and engineering simulations.
・Identify technical risks and drive appropriate countermeasures.
・Propose improvements related to product performance, quality, cost, reliability, and manufacturability.
・Prepare technical reports, specifications, test results, and customer-facing engineering documentation.

- 応募資格（必須）
- ・ 5+ years of professional experience in the automotive industry.
・ Experience in electrical, electronic, mechanical, or product-development engineering.
・ Experience using CAD tools.
・ Experience with structural analysis or engineering simulation.
・ Business-level English.
・ Strong communication skills for working with customers and internal stakeholders.
・ Ability to work onsite in the Toyota area on a full-time basis.

・ Comfortable coordinating with customers, global teams, suppliers, and internal engineering departments.
・ Willing to work closely with the customer onsite in the Toyota area.
・ Able to balance technical performance, cost, quality, and production feasibility.
