Senior Function Owner - ADAS Systems

This company is a global automotive technology supplier specializing in advanced sensing systems, electrification, and intelligent mobility solutions.
The company operates internationally with strong R&D capabilities and collaborates with major OEMs to develop next-generation safety and in-cabin technologies.
In this role you will take end-to-end technical ownership of assigned ADAS functions throughout the V-model development lifecycle.
You will define and manage system requirements, contribute to system architecture, evaluate functionality and performance, and coordinate technical issues across Software, Hardware, and Validation teams.
You will also communicate directly with Japanese automotive customers, participate in vehicle testing when required, and coordinate with overseas engineering teams.
This is a hands-on technical ownership position rather than a people-management role. The successful engineer should understand not only one component, but how an ADAS function is supposed to operate at the overall system level.

- Function Ownership & Requirements
・Own assigned ADAS functions throughout the complete V-model development lifecycle.
・Analyze customer requirements and develop/update functional and system requirements.
・Support system architecture and requirement allocation.
・Maintain requirement traceability and consistency throughout development.
・Manage specification changes and associated technical impacts.
System Performance & Validation
・Define functional KPIs and expected performance.
・Review validation and test strategies.
・Analyze test results and assess whether system behavior meets requirements.
・Conduct design and technical reviews.
・Support vehicle-level evaluation and test-drive activities when required.
Technical Problem Solving
・Lead problem solving across Software, Hardware, and Validation teams.
・Analyze technical issues and coordinate appropriate corrective actions.
・Ensure technical issues are tracked through resolution and verification.
Customer & Global Engineering Coordination
・Participate in technical discussions with Japanese automotive customers.
・Translate customer expectations into technical requirements for development teams.
・Coordinate technical topics with overseas engineering organizations.
・Communicate development status, specifications, issues, and validation results across stakeholders.

- 応募資格（必須）
- ・Approximately 3+ years of Function Owner, Systems Engineering, or closely related function-development experience.
・Strong understanding of ADAS functions, with the ability to interpret customer and system requirements, write functional specifications, and evaluate test results.
・Experience or strong knowledge in ADAS, parking, navigation, radar systems, automotive ECU development, vehicle‑display functions, or hands‑on engineering work.
・Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in systems engineering, requirements engineering, and Automotive SPICE (ASPICE).
・Experience with embedded software development, AUTOSAR, microcontrollers (MCU), and SoC-based systems.
・Familiarity with ISO 26262 functional safety, automotive communication protocols, and diagnostics.
・Model-Based Development using MATLAB, Simulink, and Stateflow.
・Programming skills in C and Python, with exposure to computer vision.
・Basic project management skills (schedule, scope, resources, stakeholder communication).
・Japanese: Business level.
・English: Business level or above.
