Lighting Controller Platform Resident Engineer

This company is a global automotive technology supplier specializing in advanced sensing systems, electrification, and intelligent mobility solutions.
The company operates internationally with strong R&D capabilities and collaborates with major OEMs to develop next-generation safety and in-cabin technologies.

In this role, you will act as the technical bridge between a leading Japanese automotive manufacturer and global engineering teams, supporting the development, integration, validation, and optimization of advanced lighting control systems and ECUs.

You will lead technical discussions with customers, coordinate requirements between OEMs and overseas development centers, support vehicle testing and issue resolution, and help ensure successful project execution from a technical perspective. This position combines customer-facing engineering, system validation, requirements management, and global collaboration responsibilities.

    Customer Technical Interface
    ・Lead technical discussions with automotive OEM customers
    ・Propose and promote standard technical solutions
    ・Participate in vehicle and bench testing activities
    ・Identify and resolve technical issues throughout development and validation phases

    Requirements Management
    ・Analyze gaps between customer requirements and standard product specifications
    ・Coordinate technically feasible solutions between customers and engineering teams
    ・Support requirement definition and technical alignment activities

    Global Engineering Coordination
    ・Serve as the communication bridge between domestic teams and overseas development centers
    ・Coordinate activities with global engineering teams across multiple regions
    ・Resolve technical misunderstandings and improve cross-functional collaboration

    Change & Project Support
    ・Support project managers by communicating customer requirements and engineering changes
    ・Ensure technical alignment between project plans and customer expectations
    ・Assist with progress tracking and issue resolution activities

    System Validation & Quality Assurance
    ・Participate in vehicle testing, including nighttime driving evaluations
    ・Reproduce, analyze, and troubleshoot system issues
    ・Support software and system design reviews
    ・Contribute to quality improvement and problem-solving initiatives throughout development projects
  • 応募資格（必須）
    ・Business-level English communication skills
    ・Conversational-level Japanese or above
    ・Knowledge of embedded software development (C language)
    ・Understanding of software architecture and system design
    ・Knowledge of ASPICE development processes
    ・5+ years of engineering experience
    ・Automotive industry experience preferred
    ・Experience related to ADAS, automotive lighting systems, ECUs, or embedded systems is highly desirable
