Job Description

  • Responsibilities
    - Acquire fundamental brand, product, process, and customer knowledge about the brand.
    - Define long-, mid-, and short-term commercial objectives and action plans.
    - Proactive alignment with business goals, policies, and standards.
    - Monitoring of luxury market trends and competitor activities, understand market potential / areas.
    - Best practice exchange: with dealers in Japan and from relevant automotive groups.
    - Monitoring and reporting of target achievement across operational and key performance indicators (KPIs).
    - Tracking and analysis of financial KPIs, P&L ownership for the entire business.
    - Create initiatives/action plans to guarantee target achievement (incl. peripheral profits).
    - Develop specific business plans or marketing campaign activities (e.g., used cars, service).
    - Create business case proposals for new investment, ownership for project implementation.
    - Ensure compliance of all dealer operation standards (e.g., from order to delivery).
    - Check and approve customer/stock/demo car orders, manage order pipeline and deadlines.
    - Oversee and approve used car trade-in and purchase activities, evaluation and pricing.
    - Update internal guidelines and processes towards increased efficiency, compliance, anti-fraud.
    - Ensure reporting deadlines, monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing.
    - Represent the brand image and exclusivity in all business situations.
    - Ensure top luxury “customer-focused approach” and dealership culture.
    - Manage the entire team, plan organizational changes in line with targeted business growth.
    - Organize regular team meetings, build team culture, and enhance open communication.
    - Define training plans, ensure training participation, and provide OJT to relevant members.
    - Define individual target agreements and development plans and regular feedback process.
    - Develop salary schemes to optimize performance in line with overall business objectives.
    - Manage incentive: develop/adjust incentive schemes based on internal and brand targets.
    - Define recruiting needs and oversee the recruiting process.
    - Hold regular meetings with local and regional teams, keep active communication.
    - Negotiation with the manufacturer regarding sales and support requirements.
    - Guarantee consistent management of customer relationships, contact cycles, communication tools, control follow-up process from sales / service team on “next best action”.
    - Secure loyal customers, acquire new customers, via effective CRM data analysis and application, increase prospective customers and new Increase prospective customers and new target groups via unique showroom events, exhibitions, collaborations, and online/digital activities in alignment with brand guidelines.
    - Secure that online / digital content is updated and relevant in cooperation with marketing.

  • Requirements
    - Business degree qualifications, 10 years minimum experience in the automotive industry.
    - Extensive managerial and sales experience in luxury automotive dealerships.
    - Leadership experience in similar roles, strong communication skills, analytical/strategical thinking.
    - English proficiency required (most communication is in Japanese, towards OEM English required).
    - Lead with passion and empathy, setting an example for the team.
    - Maintain strong attention to detail, prioritize effectively, and stay self-motivated.
    - Plan strategically, adapting as needed to changing situations.
    - Understand luxury lifestyle and customer expectations, continuously improving operations.
    - Be a proactive, responsible, and committed member of the team, bringing entrepreneurial enthusiasm to the role.
