Job Description

- Responsibilities
- This function is supporting dealer development activities such as new dealer development based upon the agreed strategy (opening, relocation, refurbishment, closure), new investor appointment or M&A and setup, termination of low-performing dealers, while establishing and maintaining a good and stable relationship with the dealers. In addition to aforesaid items, this function is executing infrastructure projects related to the Charging Strategy such as Charging hubs, DC/AC Chargers within and outside of the dealer network etc., in close cooperation with the remaining members of the Network Development Team. This position is also responsible for driving the charging initiative for both brands in Japan and handles PCA related tasks.
Job Tasks:
1) Support Network Development project type 1: Recruit new investors or appoint an investor from existing business partners in order to cover open area by conducting a series of pitch process with several candidates and select the most appropriate candidate by evaluating proposed business plan including the showroom planning, financial stability, reliability as business partner etc. And finally align the result of the selection with top management of the respective brand
2) Support Network Development project type 2: Replace the existing non-performing dealer with a new investor or with one of the existing business partners by simple termination or Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) according to the situation. Make a concrete plan to execute the network reorganization process (consolidation or cancellation) avoiding any legal risks and conduct the pitch to select the business successor following aforesaid selection process for Network Development project type 1
3) Support Network Development project type 3: Existing dealer facility enhancement by relocation and/or refurbishment, or/and rebuilding. Negotiate with investors for the investment and conduct the building projects by involving relevant departments and external suppliers to carry out the rebuilding projects smoothly. Get the approval from local top management and from relevant department
4) Charging Infrastructure Development (Inside Dealer Network)
Plan and execute the Charging Network Strategy in collaboration with existing dealer network, group brands and 3rd party charging infrastructure providers in close cooperation with remaining Dealer Network Development team
Lead the discussion of billing scheme across the network, group brands and 3rd party facilities
Supervise and execute all the contractual operations in relation to the charging network expansion across the brands and entities
5) Charging Infrastructure Development (Outside Dealer Network)
Support planning and execution for implementation of Charging hubs in Japan in close alignment with local stakeholders
Develop app for billing Non-PCA members as part of the “Premium Customer Charging” for utilizing DC High speed charging network (e.g. Charging HUBs)
Lead the installation of Destination Chargers in collaboration with existing dealer network and 3rd parties such as hotel associations, golf club associations etc.
Ensure that the projects are carried out through 3rd party handling office
Supervise and execute all the contractual operations in relation to the destination chargers
6) Premium Charging Alliance (PCA):
Develop and operate the front end app and backend system to increase the usability of PCA user in accordance with overall charging strategy
Analyze PCA data by utilizing BI tool Tableau
7) goTOzero:
Drive implementation of initiative in Japan for brands in accordance to global strategy (dealer involvement, training, certification etc.)
Take part in regular meetings with HQ and other markets and act as counterpart towards HQ for all related topics
Collect data from dealer network in regard to carbon footprint and communicate results to HQ
8) Support for administration: Admin tasks such as RFA, RFP processing and other adhoc tasks.

- Requirements
- 1) 2~3 years of network development experience (network strategy, investor negotiation, etc.)
2) Practical experience
in the automotive or manufacturing industry 3) Practical experience in MS offices (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
4) Native-level Japanese, conversational English
5) Willing
to travel domestically 6) Driver's license
