Top Global Sales | The company, a foreign automotive parts manufacturer, is expanding its software and electronics products. The company is a German company with long-standing roots in Japan and does business around the world, and has a diverse workforce and a working environment with a 1% turnover rate. 2024 April, a new R&D facility will be completed and the company is working to develop further advanced technologies.

This is an important position to select service providers for logistics supporting mainly for automotive companies.
You will be responsible for selecting 25 warehouses spread across the country and the transportation network connecting these warehouses, our main domestic plants, and our overseas locations.

Job Description

  • Responsibilities
    Market research, supplier selection, bidding contracts, and supplier management
    ・Select suppliers for logistics improvement in cooperation with Logistics Planning Department, business units, and factories
    ・Check invoice contents and optimize order contents

    Currently, the management reporting line for the logistics area is to an overseas supervisor (living in Malaysia), who is responsible for timely reporting and communication. The management reporting line for the logistics area is currently with the overseas supervisor (residing in Malaysia), who is responsible for the formulation of strategic policies through timely reporting and consultation, and regular business trips to overseas bases.
  • Requirements
    Must
    -Business level English (TOEIC 700 or above), native level Japanese
    -Interest in logistics (warehousing, transportation) and enjoy visiting logistics sites
    -Purchasing experience in manufacturing industry
    -Ability to calculate costs and negotiate fair prices
    -Ability to give presentations in Japanese and English ( TOEIC 750 points)

    Want: One or more of the following are welcome
    -Purchasing experience in the automotive industry
    -Experience working for a logistics provider (forwarder, carrier operations or sales)
    -Experience working as a supply chain consultant
    -High project management skills
    -High coordination skills Good coordination skills
