The primary responsibilities will include analyzing customer requirements and RFQs for telematics products, designing software architecture, conducting technical negotiations both internally and externally, and analyzing software issues. - Responsibilities
- Responsible for software architecture of telematics control unit (TCU) products for Japanese automobile companies.
Analyze RFQs and customer requirements, design software architecture, conduct internal/external technical negotiations, and analyze software issues.
Collaborate with overseas teams and communicate with stakeholders for architecture design, technology compromise, and project progress management.
Work with hardware and software development teams to implement optimal architecture design.
Define the architecture of the product, including system, mechanical, software, and hardware components.
Structure the engineering disciplines of the product in alignment with platform configuration.
Ensure a cost-effective design approach.
Review patents as needed.
Identify and manage technical risks associated with engineering discipline architectures in projects.
Propose continuous improvements related to the platform.
Ensure product robustness and apply relevant standards.
Enforce engineering discipline solutions and support design reviews.
Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and seek hierarchical support when necessary.
Capitalize on know-how through standardization, specifications, technical reports, processes, and guidelines.
Support engineering discipline requirement management and provide inputs for development.
Interface with customers regarding engineering discipline architecture content.
Refine functions into appropriate sub-systems (system, mechanical, software, hardware).
For system architects, distribute functions across engineering disciplines and translate system requirements into specific engineering discipline requirements.
Collaborate with various engineering disciplines to define functions into the correct sub-systems.
Ensure interoperability of all sub-systems.

- Experience in developing in-vehicle systems.
Experience in designing software architecture.
Fluent in both Japanese and English.
