This position is responsible for defining CONOPS from mission requirements, designing and analyzing satellite systems, managing various budgets, and formulating and promoting verification plans. In collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, you will lead the development of satellite systems from procurement support to AIV (assembly, integration, and verification).

Job Description

  • Responsibilities
    - Implement
    spacecraft mission and system design, including requirements definition, cooperate with the mission team to derive and define CONOPS (Concept of Operation) from mission requirements, and maintain
    the latest status
    of satellite system design, modeling, analysis, etc. - System budget management and trade-offs such as mass, power, data, and fuel Implementation
    of Missions Systems Validation Tests and Validation Tests Planning and Updating, and Tracking and Management
    of Verification Status ・Closely cooperate
    with TechLeads, Subsystem Leads and Project Managers ・Support in the selection
    and management of subcontractors and subcontractors ・AIVs (including satellite system assembly, functional testing, environmental testing, etc.) Assembly, Integration, and Verification)
  • Requirements
    ・At least 3 years of experience
    in space system projects ・System-level knowledge
    of space system design and AIV activities ・Practical experience
    in one or more phases of the life cycle from requirements definition to validation ・Knowledge
    of subsystems* (*GNC (Attitude Control, Attitude Determination), Orbital Mechanics, CDH/On-Board Data Handling, Power Supply, Propulsion, Communication, Software, Ground System, Orbital Operation)
    ・Flexible adaptability to rapid environmental changes and the ability
    to incorporate these changes into the work schedule ・English proficiency (TOEIC700 points or higher)
    ・Japanese language proficiency (business level, for communication with Japanese AIV team members)
  • Preferred
    - Knowledge of commonly used engineering and modeling packages (e.g., ModelSim, Matlab, STK) or experience
    in model-based systems engineering - Knowledge
    of space debris removal permit systems, import/export, legal regulations, space law, etc. ・Knowledge of space missions related to debris removal and RPO (RemoveDebris, CleanSpace / ESA projects e.g. e.DeOrbit, DEOS, HTV, ATV, ETS-7, etc.)
