You will be responsible for the research and development of the Reaction Control System (RCS), which is essential for satellite attitude control, and propulsion systems for orbit transfer.

Job Description

  • Responsibilities
    Design, prototyping, and evaluation of onboard thrusters based on mission requirements
    ・Development, implementation, and data analysis of evaluation test plans in cooperation with external organizations
    ・Investigation and evaluation of thruster systems of other companies to study the latest technology trends in Japan and overseas and the possibility of using them in our own systems
    ・Research and development of control and re Research and development of thrusters for controlled re-entry and high thrust propulsion systems for future orbit transfer
    * Depending on the project status, you may be asked to be involved in satellite system tests other than thrusters.
  • Requirements
    More than 3 years of experience in design and development of internal combustion engines for propulsion systems and transportation equipment for spacecraft, aircraft, or similar
    (including experience as research at universities)
    - Experience in design, analysis, and testing of internal combustion engine systems for propulsion systems and transportation equipment for spacecraft, aircraft, or similar
    - Experience in joint research and joint projects with external parties Experience in implementation of joint research or projects with external parties
  • Preferred
    -Familiarity with propulsion system manufacturing and propellant handling
    - Experience with finite element numerical analysis (CFD, CAE) or related modeling (FORTRAN, MATLAB, etc.) for fluid dynamics
    - Experience with thruster component specification and procurement
    - Experience handling pressurized components (pressure vessels, valves, piping, regulators, etc.)
    - Qualifications such as High Pressure Gas Production Safety Officer, Explosives Handling Safety Officer, etc.
    - Experience in joint research or joint projects involving multiple companies, universities, etc.
    - Experience in developing spacecraft or reusable space systems
    - Experience in start-up development
