We forecast sales volume and production risk in the four-wheel business using a variety of internal and external data and advanced analytical techniques.
This position supports strategic lineup decisions and mid- to long-term decision-making by addressing the risk of fluctuations due to supply-demand balance and environmental factors.

Job Description

  • Responsibilities
    ・In collaboration with the strategy and product planning divisions of the four-wheel business, build demand forecast models for sales volume in the medium- to long-term span of 10, 5, and 3 years
    ・In collaboration with the supply chain management division, forecast risks related to inventory and raw material supply, contributing to stable supply
    ・Identify the structure of issues through dialogue with the field, and design and improve forecast models based on a vast amount of internal and external data ・Design and improve forecast models using feature engineering and causal structure analysis to achieve both model accuracy and explanatory power Design and improve forecasting models based on a vast amount of internal and external data
    ・Conduct analyses that balance model accuracy and explainability using feature engineering and causal structure analysis
    ・Build and verify highly accurate and reproducible forecasting models that match actual businesses

  • Requirements
    -Basic data analysis skills
    -Problem solving skills (scope design, goal setting, problem-solving skills)
    -Ability to think and act independently without being limited by means
    -Communication and collaboration skills to work with people from diverse fields
  • Preferred
    Experience in (digital) marketing, including customer and market analysis
    - Experience in manufacturing, including planning, product development, production, quality, and purchasing
    - Experience in problem solving through consulting and other means
