The front-line engineer is responsible for the installation, inspection, and trouble-shooting of commercial EVs and chargers onsite, and supports stable operation onsite through the selection, procurement, and installation of EV vehicles and chargers, as well as trouble-shooting and inspections after installation. You will also provide technical support for telematics equipment connection and communication, and lead the introduction and operation of next-generation mobility from a technical perspective.

Job Description

  • Responsibilities
    Support for introduction of EV vehicles and chargers, witnessing installation and confirming operation
    ・Selection of chargers and technical support at installation sites (coordination with installers and in-house)
    ・Technical support for connection and communication of telematics devices
    ・Initial on-site response and primary isolation of reported problems from customers
    ・Inspection and repair coordination with partner maintenance shops and on-site progress management ・Maintenance support for periodic inspections of EV vehicles and parts replacement On-site progress management
    ・Periodic inspections of EV vehicles, maintenance support such as parts replacement
    ・Response to technical inquiries after installation, organization and reporting of investigations
    ・Technical support during customer visits in cooperation with other departments

    *Business trips will be required as the expected customers are located in all areas of Japan.
  • Requirements
    National 2nd class auto mechanic qualification
    ・Working experience of more than 5 years in auto maintenance
    ・PC skills (basic operation of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and ability to create documents)
    ・Japanese: native level
    ・Ability to speak English

    ・Ability to identify issues and respond flexibly based on on-site situations
