The organization collaborates closely with major automotive manufacturers worldwide and operates engineering and development centers across multiple regions.
In Japan, the company maintains R&D facilities dedicated to advanced sensing technologies and intelligent driving systems, supporting global development programs in the field of ADAS and automated driving.
The firm is seeking a Function Owner to lead system-level design and integration for next-generation autonomous driving and ADAS solutions.
This role involves managing functionality based on data from multiple sensors-such as cameras, radar, and ultrasonic sensors -and ensuring technical excellence throughout the entire V-model development process.
You will collaborate closely with software, system architecture, and validation teams to guarantee product quality and functional completeness.
This is a key technical leadership position with significant influence on product success.
Job Description

- Responsibilities
- - Lead the design and development of advanced driver assistance and autonomous driving functions.
- Manage system functionality by integrating multiple sensor technologies (camera, radar, ultrasonic).
- Define and maintain system requirements, ensuring traceability to stakeholder needs.
- Collaborate with system architects, software engineers, and validation/testing teams.
- Act as technical lead in customer meetings and real-world vehicle testing.
- Define KPIs and performance metrics for system functions and establish measurement strategies.
- Review and improve test strategies, environments, and test cases.
- Ensure compliance with development processes, quality standards, and industry regulations.
- Drive technical reviews with suppliers and cross-functional teams.

- Requirements
- - Strong background in system engineering (ASPICE).
- Basic knowledge of embedded software and SoC (System-on-Chip).
- Familiarity with ISO 26262 (functional safety).
- Experience in writing and managing system requirements.
- English: Business level or higher.
- Japanese: Conversational level or higher (Business level for OEM-facing roles).

- - Knowledge of software engineering and AUTOSAR.
- Experience with model-based development (Simulink/Stateflow).
- Programming skills (C, Python).
- Understanding of computer vision and image processing technologies.
