Top Global Sales | The company, a foreign automotive parts manufacturer, is expanding its software and electronics products. A German company with long-standing roots in Japan and doing business around the world, it has a diverse workforce and a working environment with a turnover rate of 1%. 2024 April, a new R&D facility will be completed and the company is working to develop further advanced technologies.

This position is in charge of small actuators for automobiles, and as an application engineer for JOEM/J-Tier, will collect customer information, manage projects, and provide collaboration and development support with overseas bases.

Job Description

  • Responsibilities
    Products in charge are small actuators for automobiles (e.g. sunroofs, power windows, power seats, etc.)
    ・Application engineer for JOEM and J-Tier as well as
    ・Customer information gathering (not only project-related information but also customer trends, strategy building, etc.)
    ・Project management Project management (information exchange with Germany, USA, China, ASEAN, etc., and development support)
  • Requirements
    At least 5 years of working experience, including the following:
    - Knowledge of mechanical component design and DC motors
    - At least 3 years of experience in the automotive market
    - Project management experience
    - Native level Japanese
    - English business communication skills
    - Experience working in English (emails, phone calls, meetings) - Customer oriented mindset, experience in negotiating with Japanese customers - Customer service oriented mindset, experience in negotiating with Japanese customers - Experience in Japanese business communication - Experience in Japanese business communication Experience working in English (emails, phone calls, meetings)
    ・TOEIC 650 or above or willingness to improve English
    ・Customer oriented mindset, experience negotiating with Japanese customers
  • Preferred

You will support the development, design, and evaluation of sensors used to ensure water quality and control water treatment.
In a product development project, you will develop, design, and evaluate water quality sensors using electrochemical mechanisms to be incorporated into products that aim to provide structural solutions to water problems.
