This position is a key position in the launch services business, working on both commercial and technical aspects of the project.
Understands the mission requirements of the customer satellite operators and leads all technical aspects from satellite integration to launch site operations and post-launch support.
We coordinate to ensure that the customer's satellite meets our launch vehicle side requirements and increase the certainty of mission success through the integration of mechanical and electrical interfaces.

Job Description

  • Responsibilities
    - Oversee mission integration
    - Prepare ICD (Interface Control Document)
    - Review and technical evaluation of interface conformance
    - Ensure customer satellites meet required safety and reliability standards
    - Technical support of sales team during pre-contract phase (mission planning, flight performance, mechanical and electrical interfaces, flight environment, etc.)
    -Management of technical items (launch window, target orbit, interface requirements, etc.) in the LSA (Launch Services Agreement) and SoW (Statement of Work)
    -Working with engineers and sales team to ensure clarity and feasibility of all technical requirements
    -Environmental test plan, Standardize and continuously improve environmental test plans, launch readiness procedures, campaign plans, and post-launch reviews
    -Host MRR (Mission Readiness Review), make gate decisions, and oversee launch operations
    -Manage all field operations, including launch site logistics, safety management, payload handling, and anomaly response
    Ensuring technical quality and safety throughout the entire process from hardware delivery to orbit insertion
  • Requirements
    -Bachelor's degree in engineering (aerospace, mechanical, electrical, or related field)
    -Working experience in satellite development or project management (approx. 2+ years)
    -Cross-disciplinary coordination skills
    -Native level Japanese language skills

  • Preferred
    -Master's degree in engineering
    -Networking with satellite operators, insurance companies, space agencies, etc.
    -High English communication skills (oral and written)
    -Understanding or working experience with safety and reliability standards based on JAXA Common Technical Document
    -Various environmental tests (vibration/thermal Vacuum/pressure resistance) experience
