It is a Japan-based commercial vehicle manufacturer that develops, manufactures, and sells trucks, buses, and industrial engines. You will be a member of the technical accounting team of the newly established holding company and will be mainly responsible for the accounting policy and governance of the entire group.

As a member of the newly established holding compnay Technical Accounting (Accounting Policy) Team, you will primarily be responsible for the accounting policy and governance operations of the entire group.

Job Description

  • Responsibilities
    - Manage, mentor, and develop
    team members in a global environment - Create, update
    , and identify IFRS manuals - Identify, analyze, and communicate IFRS updates. In addition, we provide
    support for new accounting standards, review
    complex accounting issues based on JGAAP and IFRS, develop
    policies on ESG reporting (EU taxonomies and CSRD), manage internal controls
    , and keep abreast

    of changes in the latest accounting standards and best practices required for consolidated financial results. ・Manage, mentor, and develop team members in a global environment.
    ・Create and update the IFRS manual.
    ・Identify, analyze, and communicate updates to IFRS, as well as provide support regarding new accounting standards.
    ・Examine complex accounting issues based on JGAAP and IFRS.
    ・Develop policies related to ESG reporting (EU taxonomy and CSRD).
    ・Manage internal controls.
    ・Stay updated on changes to the latest accounting standards and best practices necessary for consolidated financial closing.
  • Requirements
    ・At least 3 years of experience in a managerial role
    , 10 years or more of experience in accounting work, or at least
    5 years of work experience at an audit firm, experience related
    to stand-alone and consolidated financial results, reporting using

    Excel and PowerPoint, Over 3 years of experience in a managerial role
    ・10 years of accounting experience or over 5 years of experience in an auditing firm
    ・Experience related to standalone and consolidated financial closing operations
    ・Reporting experience using Excel and PowerPoint
  • Preferred
    - Experience in designing and considering financial accounting policies for a single entity or a group
    ・Practical experience in IFRS consolidated accounting at a listed company ・Practical experience in preparing disclosure documents (including TSE disclosure documents)
    ・Experience in using accounting systems such as SAP/DIVA
    - Experience in using disclosure systems and applications
    ・Experience in accounting-related work in the truck and bus industry or accounting-related work experience in the automobile industry
    ■Required Abilities
    - Bachelor's degree in accounting, management, or related field
    ・Accounting knowledge of financial reporting, accounting, IFRS, etc.
    ・Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    ・Business-level English proficiency (those who do not have stress in communicating with overseas accounting members via video conference or email)
    ・English proficiency with a TOEIC score of 750 or higher
    ■Welcome conditions
    ・Experience in auditing and consulting at an audit firm
    ・Accounting qualifications such as certified public accountant (including overseas) and tax accountant
    ■ Language
    Japanese: Native language, business level
    English: native language, business level, general conversation level

    ・Experience in designing and reviewing standalone or group financial accounting policies.
    ・Practical experience in IFRS consolidated accounting and preparation of disclosure documents in a publicly listed company (including Tokyo Stock Exchange disclosure documents)
    ・Experience using accounting systems such as SAP/DIVA
    ・Experience using disclosure systems and applications
    ・Accounting-related work experience in the truck and bus industry or the automotive industry
