In Japan, the company maintains R&D facilities dedicated to advanced sensing technologies and intelligent driving systems, supporting global development programs in the field of ADAS and automated driving.
In this role you will be responsible for leading a test and validation engineering team supporting advanced sensing and autonomous driving technologies. The role focuses on managing engineering teams, improving development processes, and ensuring high product quality through robust testing and validation practices. The successful candidate will lead team development, standardize engineering methodologies, and contribute to the successful launch of new automotive technologies.
Job Description

- Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & Organizational Management
・Lead and manage a team of test engineers and technicians.
・Conduct performance evaluations, set development goals, and support career growth for team members.
・Plan and implement technical training programs to strengthen team capabilities.
・Allocate resources to projects and support recruitment activities when necessary.
Engineering Process Improvement
・Introduce and maintain modern engineering processes and development tools.
・Drive initiatives that improve operational efficiency and development quality.
・Promote standardized development practices and robust design methodologies.
Technical Leadership
・Support testing and validation activities for advanced automotive sensing technologies.
・Ensure development activities align with global engineering standards.
・Collaborate with international engineering teams to improve product reliability and validation processes.
Budget Management
・Develop and manage the team's operational budget.
・Identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency and optimize resource utilization.

- Requirements
- ・Ability to develop test cases using source code (e.g., Python).
・Knowledge of A-SPICE development standards.
・3+ years of experience leading engineering teams or technical teams.
・English communication ability sufficient to collaborate with global engineering teams.
・Basic conversational Japanese
