Job Description

  • Responsibilities
    【Job Description】
    - Monitor
    Japan regulations, such as automobile safety regulations and automobile-related regulations (including scrap car recycling regulations) - Evaluate
    the impact of monitored information on the brand - Report
    the evaluated information to the brand headquarters - Enter
    the evaluated information into the designated system - Communicate with the brand representative and provide
    it when asked to interpret the regulations -As a point of contact for automobile regulations, the Company coordinates and lobbies with government agencies (Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, Ministry of the Environment, etc.) and external parties such as the Japan Automobile Importers Association (JAIA).

    【Key KPIs】
    - Manage the MSoR (Regulatory Monitoring Process) in accordance with the guidelines and ensure that necessary regulatory information is reported to the head office in a timely manner

    【Responsibilities】
    -Monitor Japanese regulations related to vehicles, such as vehicle safety regulations and other vehicle-related regulations, including End-of-Life Vehicle requirements.
    -Assess the impact of the monitored information on the brands.
    -Report the assessed information to brand headquarters.
    -Enter the assessed information into the designated system.
    -Communicate with brand counterparts and provide regulatory interpretations when requested.
    -Serve as the point of contact for vehicle regulatory matters with external stakeholders, such as government authorities (MLIT, METI, MIC, MOE, etc.) and the Japan Automobile Importers Association (JAIA), including coordination and lobbying activities.

    -Bachelor's
    degree or equivalent-Interest
    in the automotive industry-Work experience
    in the automotive industry-Experience in industrial laws and regulations, or experience
    in product planning-Skills
    in working with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)-Negotiation skills
    with internal and external stakeholders-Excellent interpersonal skills
    - Willing
    to respond flexibly to domestic and international business trips - highly motivated and able to contribute to the team with an open mind

    【Required】
    -Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
    -Interest in the automotive sector
    -Experience in the automotive industry
    -Experience with industrial laws and regulations OR product planning
    -Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
    -Strong negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders
    -Excellent interpersonal skills
    -Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for business
    -Highly motivated team player with an open mind
