The Product Development (PD) Engineer / Technical Project Engineer is responsible for coordinating and driving product development activities for automotive cockpit electronics programs, ensuring successful execution from requirements definition through validation and production release. This role acts as a bridge between engineering teams, customers, and program management, supporting schedule management, risk mitigation, design quality activities, and technical delivery across instrument cluster, infotainment, and display programs.

- Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and track product development activities to ensure on-time project execution.
Manage technical issues, risks, and action plans throughout the product development lifecycle.
Support customer requirement analysis, requirement management, and traceability activities.
Coordinate design reviews, FMEA activities, and other design quality processes.
Manage product releases, including BOMs, specifications, and engineering documentation.
Support configuration management, engineering change management, and project resource tracking.
Coordinate hardware, mechanical, and system development activities across cross-functional teams.
Perform initial component and subsystem validation activities before formal verification and validation testing.
Support customer communication, technical reviews, and project status reporting.
Collaborate with global engineering teams to ensure alignment on technical deliverables and project milestones.

- Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field.
Experience in automotive product development, systems engineering, or technical project coordination.
Knowledge of instrument cluster, infotainment, display, or cockpit electronics systems.
Experience with requirements management and requirements engineering processes.
Familiarity with requirement management tools such as DOORS NG or similar platforms.
Understanding of system engineering methodologies, including V-model development processes.
Experience supporting technical issue management, risk tracking, and design review activities.
Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
Business-level Japanese and English.

- Experience with software flashing tools and embedded system validation activities.
Knowledge of automotive connectivity technologies such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, USB, Android Auto, or Apple CarPlay.
Experience supporting certification and compliance activities.
Familiarity with configuration management and change management processes.
Experience working with global automotive development teams.
Knowledge of ASPICE, FMEA, and automotive development processes.
