The Sales Lead (General Manager) for International Markets will be responsible for driving profitable growth of the global bus business by developing and executing international sales strategies, expanding market presence, and strengthening partnerships across multiple regions.

This role will lead market development initiatives, oversee regional sales performance, identify new business opportunities, and collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to ensure commercial success across international markets.

Job Description

  • Responsibilities
    Develop and execute mid-to-long-term international sales strategies aligned with overall business objectives.

    Translate global targets into actionable regional and country-level sales plans, ensuring achievement of revenue and KPI goals.

    Identify, evaluate, and develop new market opportunities and expansion strategies.

    Build and manage relationships with distributors, regional offices, business partners, and key customers.

    Drive sales performance and market growth across multiple international regions.

    Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Aftermarket functions to support business objectives.

    Monitor market trends, customer requirements, competitive activities, and regulatory developments to inform strategic decisions.
  • Requirements
    Education
    Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, International Trade, or a related field.

    Experience
    6-9 years of international sales experience, preferably within automotive, commercial vehicle, industrial equipment, or related sectors.
    Proven experience managing multiple international markets and distributor networks.
    Demonstrated success in business development, strategic account management, and market expansion initiatives.

    Skills
    Business-level English required.
    Japanese language skills are advantageous.
    Strong commercial acumen, strategic thinking, and stakeholder management capabilities.
    Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
    Ability to work effectively within a global and cross-functional environment.
