You will be responsible for developing next-generation in-vehicle applications based on Android Automotive OS (AAOS) to realize SDV (Software Defined Vehicle). While leading requirements definition, architecture design, and software quality improvement, you will contribute to creating new user experiences through connected services. As a core member of the newly established Osaka development base, you will be involved in organizational building and technical strategy.

Job Description

Responsibilities

[Specific Duties]
(1) Based on user stories and higher-level system requirements, conduct requirements analysis for in-vehicle software and lead
requirements definition from the perspectives of technical validity and feasibility. (2) Assess software architecture from the perspectives of scalability and maintainability, and formulate
improvement policies. (3) Deeply understand the latest AAOS technology trends and certification requirements, share them with stakeholders, and lead
effective adaptation. (4) Conduct technical reviews of software implementations and lead
quality verification and evaluation. [Expected Roles]
・Technical Lead: Leverage expertise related to Android to lead the resolution of technical challenges.
・Organizational Development: As a core member of the new Osaka location, contribute to formulating development processes, supporting recruitment activities, and fostering an engineering culture.
・Adapting to change: Respond flexibly with an agile mindset to uncertain requirements and frequent software updates toward SDV realization.
[Expected Roles]
・Startup-like environment: While having a stable foundation as a major automaker, the Osaka office will be a 'startup from scratch,' giving you the speed and discretion of a venture company.
・Location: Newly established Osaka office (planned within Osaka city).
・Work style: Hybrid work combining remote work and in-office work is recommended. We will coordinate continuously online with the Kanagawa R&D headquarters, but you will be required to operate autonomously.
・Team composition: As a newly established organization, you will be one of the first few members. We aim to expand to several dozen members in the future.
Requirements

・Experience in development using the Android platform (AOSP) (knowledge at the App, Framework, HAL, or Native layers)
・Software development experience
using C/C++, RUST, Java, or Kotlin ・Experience in version control and team development
using Git ・Willingness
to communicate smoothly with internal and external stakeholders regardless of nationality, such as overseas suppliers・Ability
to boldly tackle new challenges ・Persistence
with positive thinking even in difficult situations ・TOEI500 points or higher
Preferred

・Practical development experience
with embedded automotive software ・Experience working with
overseas vendors ・Experience in agile/Scrum development
・TOEIC730 points or higher
