We lead the development of head units for in-vehicle infotainment systems (IVI) that support the next-generation SDV (Software Defined Vehicle) era. Leveraging advanced technologies such as connected cars, IVI, Android/Linux platforms, OTAs, and in-vehicle electronic systems, you will contribute to realizing next-generation user experiences including navigation, smartphone integration, and cloud services. Working with global development teams and Tier 1 suppliers, you will be responsible for a wide range of roles—from system architecture design to project management—making it a highly influential position that shapes future mobility services.

Job Description

  • Responsibilities
    (1) Assigned Organization: Development Area, Business Overview, and Role Within R&D, Position
    To realize SDV (Software Defined Vehicle), we develop in-vehicle infotainment systems (IVI) centered on connected technologies that seamlessly connect vehicles, the cloud, and smartphones.
    In this position, you will be responsible for shaping service value from designing user experiences both inside and outside the vehicle to system implementation.
    We provide seamless value not only while driving but also before and after getting in, providing value in all situations unique to connected services. In addition, we globally develop traditional multimedia functions like navigation, audio, phone, and smartphone integration with manufacturer genuine quality.
    In these areas, we are looking for ready-to-use engineers who go beyond
    simple function development and can realize "what kind of value, with which technology, and at what timing" with stakeholders.

    (2) Specific responsibilities and expected roles
    and positions both inside and outside the department (1) Utilizing project management skills to develop large-scale projects involving hundreds of people, as well as expertise and technical skills in software and hardware (software/work) and hardware, you will collaborate with multiple stakeholders (internal departments and suppliers) to formulate development plans including policy and technology selection and promote them as projects.
    (2) You will be responsible for everything from architectural design of the entire vehicle system to verification, implementation, application, and launch of real-world vehicle projects.
    (3) Based on Linux/Android software platforms and scalable hardware platforms, you will lead requirements definition ~ detailed design while collaborating with Tier 1 suppliers.
    (4) In global development not only in Japan but also in North America, Europe, and China, you will collaborate with overseas engineers to lead development in both technical and project aspects.

  • Requirements

    in designing electronic components (2) Project
    management experience (3) Team leader experience
    (4) Communication skills

    to correctly understand and express your ideas in Japanese and English ■TOEIC: 550 points or higher
  • Preferred
    WANT
    Experience in the automotive industry
    Experience in the development of automotive electronic systems and components at an OEM or supplier.
    Example: Basic knowledge of automotive electrical systems (at least one of the following: vehicle networks, power supply control, vehicle system control, ECU design and development, etc.)

    ■TOEIC: 650 points or higher
