A German company with long-standing roots in Japan and doing business around the world, it has a diverse workforce and a working environment with a turnover rate of 1%. 2024 April, a new R&D facility will be completed and the company is working to develop further advanced technologies.

You will be responsible for checking, evaluating, and managing export control risks associated with business activities in the Group's global HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) solutions business for residential and light commercial buildings.

Job Description

  • Responsibilities
    Responsibility for compliance with global and national export control regulations and policies
    - Proactively monitor and track proposed rule/regulation changes, communicate the impact to the organization, and provide solutions to mitigate export compliance risks
    - Bosch global standards and procedures in area of responsibility Implementation and monitoring of the requirements of and incorporation into national processes
    - Ongoing monitoring of business activities, as well as review and release of business models or individual transactions
    - Leading and supporting internal and external audits
    - Responsibility for the export licensing process, including determining licensing requirements, preparing applications and monitoring licenses
    Review and audit of Japan's export control classifications
    ・Monitor changes in national export control laws and ongoing collaboration with the global export control governance team
    ・Responsibility for evaluation of deemed export transactions
    ・Review and update export control clauses/wording in contracts, NDAs and estimates
  • Requirements
    Bachelor's degree in law, international trade/business, engineering, or other related field
    - Export controls and sanctions in compliance with EU, US, and applicable national law related regulations
    - 8+ years of relevant knowledge and work experience in compliance
    - Advise internal customers on regional and global policies and processes Ability to
    - Knowledge of SAP / GTS or equivalent systems experience
    - Ability to work at all levels of the organization (including executive and cross-functional teams)
    - Team player attitude
    - Strong customer focus
    - Strong communication skills (written and verbal) in both English and Japanese
    - Strong organizational skills and prioritization skills
