A German company with long-standing roots in Japan and doing business around the world, it has a diverse workforce and a working environment with a 1% turnover rate. 2024 April, a new R&D facility will be completed and the company is working to develop further advanced technologies.

This position is in charge of leading functional safety and SOTIF in automotive development projects, promoting safety analysis, requirement formulation, customer negotiation, proposal and issue resolution in cooperation with global teams.

Job Description

  • Responsibilities
    The position is responsible for leading functional safety and SOTIF (Safety of Unintended System Behavior) in automotive development projects.
    The position will utilize safety analysis methods to support the development process.
    The candidate will lead the communication and negotiation with the customer regarding functional safety requirements, concepts and assessments.
    He/she promotes proposals and problem solving related to functional safety and SOTIF both internally and externally. Work with a global team (Germany, India, Hungary, etc.).
  • Requirements
    -Deep interest in safety
    -Experience in software or hardware development or technical knowledge
    -Fundamental knowledge and experience in development flow/processes
    -Japanese: Business level or above
    -English: Reading/Writing Business level or above / Speaking Intermediate or above
  • Preferred
    -Experience in automotive and control related product development
    -Knowledge and leadership experience in project management
    -Knowledge and working experience in ISO 26262, ISO 21448, A-SPICE
    -Experience in analytical methods such as FMEA, FTA, FMEDA, DRBFM
    -Experience in customer relations and negotiations
