This position provides a wide range of legal support to diverse business units, including contracts, compliance, M&A, and dispute resolution.

Job Description

  • Responsibilities
    Support for concluding contracts (review and negotiation of sales contracts, non-disclosure agreements, development contracts, outsourcing agreements, license agreements, etc.)
    Legal advice for business units and support for creating business models
    Compliance and governance promotion (compliance with antitrust law, personal information protection law, compliance education, corporate law)
    Corporate Legal support for restructuring and M&A (including domestic and international matters)
    Assistance in resolving contract-related disputes and troubles
    General legal support for domestic affiliates
  • Requirements
    At least 7 years of experience in a corporate legal department or at least 5 years of experience as an attorney in Japan or overseas
    - Experience working in English, including review of English contracts, presentations and training in English
    - Business level English communication skills in reading, writing and speaking (for non-native Japanese speakers) TOEIC L& R 800 or above)
    ・Native level of Japanese communication skills in reading, writing and speaking (for non-native Japanese speakers)
  • Preferred
    Experience supporting automotive, software, and manufacturing businesses
    - For those with experience in a legal department, certification as a domestic or foreign attorney
    - For those with experience practicing law, experience working in a corporate legal department
    - Experience in a managerial position or in leading and developing team members
    - Experience negotiating contracts in English Experience negotiating contracts in English and working abroad
    ・Experience working in the legal department of a listed company
