The organization collaborates closely with major automotive manufacturers worldwide and operates engineering and development centers across multiple regions.

In Japan, the company maintains R&D facilities dedicated to advanced sensing technologies and intelligent driving systems, supporting global development programs in the field of ADAS and automated driving.

In this role as a Senior HR Generalist to lead human resources and general affairs functions at a major manufacturing site. This position will act as the site’s sole HR specialist, owning the full spectrum of HR operations and labor management activities, and partnering with leadership to optimize HR processes and enhance employee experience.

Job Description

  • Responsibilities
    Human Resources & Labor Management
    ・Operate and administer local HR systems, policies, and HR processes at the site, ensuring alignment with broader organizational frameworks.
    ・Manage personnel transfers, placements, performance evaluation consolidation, workforce planning, and HR budgeting/forecasting.
    ・Interpret and apply relevant labor laws to daily HR operations and ensure compliance.
    ・Handle employee communications and consultations related to organizational changes, contracts, and HR policy updates.
    ・Serve as first point of contact for employee relations, addressing workplace issues, and recommending improvements.
    ・Lead negotiations and consultations with labor unions, manage labor-management councils, and prepare meeting documentation.
    ・Support onboarding for new hires and internal transfers, and manage contracts for fixed-term and contract employees.
    ・Review and revise work regulations and support organizational development initiatives.
    ・Plan and execute factory-level training and development programs tailored to hierarchical and operational needs.

    General Affairs
    ・Coordinate annual health checkups, stress evaluations, and regulatory facility inspections.
    ・Oversee day-to-day management of amenities such as parking lots, cafeterias, break rooms, lockers, and access systems.
    ・Plan and facilitate employee events and health-related programs (e.g., first aid training).
  • Requirements
    ・Proven HR generalist experience managing broad HR operations (excluding payroll only), ideally as a stand-alone HR lead for a business unit or site
    ・At least 3+ years of HR professional experience, with exposure to recruitment, labor management, policy implementation, and employee relations.
    ・Strong understanding of Japanese labor legislation and HR compliance requirements.
    ・Native-level Japanese proficiency,
    ・Business-level English proficiency.
  • Preferred
    ・Prior HR experience in the manufacturing or industrial sectors, especially in factory/site HR operations.
    ・Strong relationship management skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both administrative and on-site operational employees.
    ・Experience working with foreign-affiliated companies or in an international corporate environment.
    ・Demonstrated strength in labor union negotiations and labor relations processes.
