As an HMI display development engineer supporting the evolution of next-generation SDVs (Software Defined Vehicles), you will be responsible for everything from strategic planning to design and development of next-generation HMI components such as meters, head-up displays (HUDs), and large center displays. Leveraging expertise in HMI, display development, HUD, in-vehicle electronic systems, UX, and connected car fields, this position collaborates with global development teams and suppliers to shape future mobility experiences. This is a significant role of influence and fulfillment, directly contributing to the value creation of in-vehicle displays that customers encounter daily.

Job Description

  • Responsibilities
    ■ The specific work content, expected roles inside and outside the department, and
    the evolution of vehicles and surrounding systems as position SDVs are carried out. To realize this, we formulate future strategies and design components for HMI display devices (such as head-up displays and next-generation large displays), which play a crucial role in realizing these goals.

    ■ Workplace Environment Work Style (Team Composition and Atmosphere)
    We develop in a team of about 20 people, including engineers and technical staff.
    We also have a high proportion of MCS (mid-career staff) and are active across a wide range of phases.
    Additionally, there are many opportunities for collaboration and communication with related departments inside and outside the company, overseas bases, and suppliers, making it possible to work in a global and open environment.

    ■Technical Skills
    At least two of the following
    ・Basic knowledge of vehicle electronics and the ability to identify the vehicle systems necessary to implement services
    ・A general understanding of the vehicle project development process
    ・Experience in component or system design(regardless of whether the parts are commodity items)
