Responsible for managing and growing relationships with Wholesale Distributors (WDs), driving sales performance in alignment with growth strategy, and achieving assigned sales targets. Also supporting the promotion of products by providing product training, sales development initiatives, and marketing support to improve distributor engagement and business growth.

Job Description

  • Responsibilities
    Sales Support for Products
    • Coordinate, support, and lead where needed with the launch of new products, sales promotions, and campaigns.
    • Support sales promotion activities of distributors and channel partners.
    • Conduct field visits, including distributor-sponsored events, product training, and day-to-day sales promotion activities.
    • Coordinate and conduct product training sessions and manufacturing facility tours.
    • Perform sales forecasting and simulation for assigned distributors, including reporting and tracking overall sales performance and profitability, while monitoring market trends and challenges such as foreign exchange and commodity price fluctuations.
    • Prepare annual and monthly sales and budget forecasts based on finance team requirements.
    • Design, create, and execute product promotion and campaign plans, including the development of promotional materials and merchandise.
    • Conduct detailed analysis of sales promotion activities to improve performance, results, and identify best practices for deployment across distributor networks.

    2) Maintain Supply Chain Operations
    • Manage day-to-day activities from order processing through shipment and invoicing, including:
    o Tracking orders and shipments
    o Shipping status reporting to distributors
    o Coordination of shared service and administrative support activities
    o Supplier coordination
    o Review of monthly sales reports
    • Arrange and negotiate year-end and new-year shipment schedules and warehouse deliveries among distributors, logistics providers, and suppliers.
    • Develop and execute preventive measures to manage and mitigate business and supply chain risks, including labor disruptions, dangers to health, and natural disasters through business continuity planning and collaboration with suppliers and logistics partners.

    3) Other Responsibilities
    • Handle inquiries and requests from distributors and distributor branches, including:
    o Monthly marketing fund processing
    o Monthly exchange rate adjustment processing
    o Monthly sales promotion support processing
    o Monthly corporate leasing administration
    o Preparation of regular shipment and delivery schedule reports
    • Support team-related administrative and reporting activities.
    • Support warranty and claim analysis and reporting for distributors, branch offices, and customers as required.
    • Handle customer inquiries received through distributors and customer service channels.
    • Maintain and update product-related content on the official company website.
    • Coordinate, negotiate, and prepare distributor business agreements and contracts.
    • Mentor colleagues and share knowledge to enhance understanding of logistics, finance, and business processes, helping prepare team members for increased management responsibilities.
  • Requirements
    - Business-level proficiency in both English and Japanese.
    - Valid driver's license.
    - Sales experience in the automotive aftermarket field.
    - 5 years of experience in the automotive industry, ideally with an OEM, importer, distributor, or supplier.
    - Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint); proficiency with Access is great.
    - Proven ability to analyze data, identify issues, and implement effective solutions.
    - Strong communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
    - A proactive team player with demonstrated leadership capabilities and a customer-focused mindset.
  • Preferred
    - Experience working at a Japanese automotive company or importer is preferred.
    - Automotive technician certification is preferred.
    - Good understanding of battery technology.
