In this role you will lead the design and development of next‑generation vehicle camera systems, including Around View Monitor, drive recorders, and new in‑cabin/exterior camera functions
Job Description

- Responsibilities
- Vehicle Camera System Development
・Develop camera systems such as next-generation Around View Monitor systems.
・Develop systems and components for drive recorders and related products.
・Plan and develop new functions utilizing in-cabin and exterior vehicle cameras.
・Develop camera-related functions from concept through mass production.
Requirements & System Design
・Define vehicle-level requirements, specifications, and performance targets.
・Translate customer value and usage scenarios into technical requirements.
・Determine necessary system and component performance.
・Develop specifications by considering the complete vehicle and system rather than only individual components.
・Support system architecture and requirements development according to the assigned product or project.
HMI & Function Development
・Develop HMI concepts and specifications for camera-based functions.
・Determine when camera information should be presented to the customer.
・Consider what information should be displayed and how it should be presented.
・Balance usability, visibility, safety, technical performance, and customer value.
Technical Decision-Making & QCD
・Evaluate technical alternatives and determine appropriate product specifications and development approaches.
・Make engineering decisions considering Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD).
・Balance performance requirements against cost and development schedules.
・Identify development risks and determine appropriate countermeasures.
Project & Issue Management
・Manage multiple technical issues and development activities simultaneously.
・Organize issues according to deadline, importance, risk, and dependencies.
・Determine priorities and drive actions accordingly.
・Monitor development progress and support resolution of technical and project-related issues.
Supplier & Cross-Functional Coordination
・Coordinate with internal design, engineering, testing, and vehicle-development teams.
・Work with domestic and international suppliers on system and component development.
・Lead technical discussions and build agreement between stakeholders with different requirements and priorities.
・Support joint development with overseas engineering organizations and suppliers.

- Requirements
- Product / System Development Experience
・ Experience in any hands-on design or development work, such as product design, system design, requirements definition, embedded systems, or electrical/electronic product development.
Automotive or camera experience is not required.
Multi-Task / Issue Management
・ Ability to manage multiple tasks or technical issues at the same time and set priorities based on deadlines and importance.
Working Through Ambiguity
・ Experience moving projects forward even when specifications or information were incomplete—organizing what is known, forming hypotheses, and solving problems independently.
Stakeholder Coordination
・ Experience coordinating with different stakeholders such as engineering, testing, customers, suppliers, partner companies, manufacturing, or project teams.
Global Mindset / English
・ Willingness to communicate in English with global members (TOEIC ~600 level is sufficient). Fluency is not required—motivation to improve is welcome.

- Preferred
- ・Design/development experience with automotive systems, cameras, imaging equipment, or related products.
・Experience with HMI design, system architecture, or requirements specification.
・Knowledge of ECUs, embedded software, or automotive networks.
・Knowledge of image processing or image recognition.
・Experience launching new products or new functions.
・Experience in project leadership, QCD management, or supplier management.
・Development experience with overseas engineering organizations or suppliers.
・Approximately TOEIC 730 or equivalent English proficiency.
