Job Description

  • Responsibilities
    Ensure efficient management of project inputs and outputs, providing strategic business guidance where necessary.
    Lead the development process of offshore engineering teams, ensuring alignment with project goals and deadlines.
    Actively participate in customer development meetings and work with suppliers and customers as needed to define system requirements and solutions.
    Collaborate with various teams to define and implement functional safety requirements for systems and components.
    Manage offshore and cross-functional coordination at the customer location, ensuring smooth project management and timely deliveries.
    Lead the creation of safety concepts, strategies, and mechanisms to address potential hazards and mitigate risks.
    Perform Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) to identify and prioritize failure modes.
    Design and implement fail-safe mechanisms, diagnostic features, and other safety-related elements.
    Develop safety documentation including safety requirements specifications, safety case reports, and technical design documents.
    Define and execute safety validation and verification plans to ensure compliance with relevant safety standards and requirements.
    Develop test plans, define test specifications, and oversee test execution, ensuring alignment with project timelines and objectives.
    Work closely with both software and hardware development teams to integrate safety features into system designs.
  • Requirements
    6-10 years of experience in functional safety engineering, particularly in the automotive sector.
    6-10 years of experience in automotive embedded
    Deep knowledge of functional safety standards, particularly ISO 26262, FMVSS, and their practical applications.
    Strong
    Proficient in hazard analysis, risk assessment, FMEA, and Fault Tree Analysis.
    Experience with safety requirements, concepts, and mechanisms.
    Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
    Excellent Excellent communication skills to manage relationships with stakeholders across various departments.
  • Preferred
    Familiarity with ANSYS MEDINI
    ISO 26262 Functional Safety Professional certification
