This role is for a Production Manager at a Kyushu-based plant, responsible for driving operational performance, ensuring production aligns with safety , quality, and customer requirements, and leading continuous improvement initiatives. The position involves managing and developing the production team, coordinating resources, and deploying action plans to improve efficiency while meeting program and organizational objectives. Job Description

  • Responsibilities
    Execute production plans in line with standard processes and ensure feasibility.
    Manage and develop the production team, including staffing, training, career development, and fostering a safe, transparent work environment.
    Implement and monitor action plans to improve functionality, productivity, and efficiency, making necessary corrective adjustments.
    Lead shopfloor activities, monitor KPIs (lead time, supply chain targets, HSE performance), and ensure compliance with HSE standards.
    Coordinate with Industrial Engineering for resource planning (stocks, equipment, staffing, activities).
    Participate in efficiency projects and support the deployment of continuous improvement activities.
    Oversee departmental reporting and approvals in SAP.
    Coach and train supervisors to achieve performance and organizational requirements.
  • Requirements
    Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or process engineering.
    At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing management, ideally in automotive.
    Strong knowledge of 5S, ISO 9001, TS16949, EC, and Lean Manufacturing.
    Business-level English (TOEIC 600+) and fluent Japanese Communication skills.
  • Preferred
    Experience with large-scale production environments.
    Strong leadership and people development skills.
