A prominent automotive dealership in Japan, known for its long-standing reputation for quality service and a diverse premium vehicle line up continues to grow in Japan and is looking for enthusiastic talents to become part of their excellence. They merged with a major US transportation and dealership group a few years showing their strong and stable presence in the competitive dealer market.
As the Group’s Marketing & PR Director, you will lead a centralized and strategic marketing and communications function supporting some of the world’s most recognized luxury automotive brands. This role operates as a shared service, driving consistent brand positioning and messaging across all key business areas, including new car sales, used car sales, aftersales, and financial services.
You will oversee the full scope of marketing strategy and execution, including:
· Steering of branding: Corporate branding, employer branding, as well as brand specific marketing activities on the importer and retail levels
· Defining and executing the yearly marketing strategy, quarterly planning, and monthly operational marketing activities—including ATL/BTL campaigns, accurate budgeting, ROI tracking, and forecasting
· Creating content & system implementation with centered on digital and social media strategies
· Leading collaboration with premium and luxury OEMs and internal brand managers to ensure proper execution of marketing guidelines and to achieve sales, profit, and KPI targets across all business areas
· Ensuring CRM data accuracy and usage, enabling increased customer retention, lead generation, and conquest activities
· Aligning and implementing global best practices from the parent company, leading worldwide premium dealer group
· Defining internal and external communication guidelines, generating and coordinating content, and introducing relevant platforms and channels
· Managing vendor relationships and outsourcing levels, including the selection and oversight of external marketing agencies
· In addition to these core responsibilities, you will serve as the company's PR lead and corporate spokesperson, managing all external communications and media across digital and traditional platforms
· Collaborating closely with HR team to enhance employer branding and foster internal communication through various channels including internal SNS platform, corporate and recruitment websites, intranet, etc.
· This leadership role is both strategic and hands-on in a fast-changing, brand-focused company. It requires creativity, data-driven thinking, speed, practical decision-making, and strong teamwork across departments.
