This role combines hands-on mechanical design of automotive connectors with customer-facing technical support and close collaboration with global engineering, manufacturing, and sales teams. The engineer will lead or contribute to the design and development of connector products for automotive customers, ensuring product performance, manufacturability, and quality throughout the development lifecycle.

- Design and develop automotive connectors based on customer requirements and market needs.
Lead product development activities in accordance with internal development procedures.
Collaborate with global engineering teams to design and launch new connector products.
Perform design validation activities including tolerance analysis, DFMEA, DRBFM, and feasibility reviews with manufacturing teams.
Work closely with manufacturing, quality, purchasing, and suppliers to ensure manufacturability and smooth product launch.
Provide technical support for standard connector products and assist sales teams with technical discussions with customers.
Capture and translate Voice of the Customer into product specifications and design improvements.
Support prototype development, product testing, and design optimization.
Provide technical support and continuous improvement throughout the product lifecycle.

- 応募資格（必須）
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related field.
Experience in product design and development for connectors or electromechanical components.
Strong 2D/3D CAD design skills and ability to create engineering drawings.
Knowledge of engineering tools and methodologies such as:
- DFMEA / DRBFM
- Geometric tolerancing
- Tolerance analysis
Understanding of connector materials such as plastics, metals, and plating.
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including manufacturing and quality.
Native-level Japanese and business-level English communication skills.

Experience working directly with automotive OEMs or Tier-1 suppliers.
Experience with FEA / CAE analysis.
Understanding of high-speed transmission, EMC, or signal integrity considerations.
Experience supporting product launch and mass production.
