Job Description

  • Responsibilities
    Analyze customer and internal requirements (SW/HW), and translate them into detailed technical documentation including block diagrams, system architecture, and internal communication flow.
    Lead requirement reviews with customers and internal stakeholders to align expectations and avoid misinterpretation or conflicts.
    Support system architecture development considering the entire vehicle ecosystem and decompose into functional groups and building blocks.
    Track requirement implementation and completeness at every milestone; review and align on deviation lists with the customer.
    Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions during development and testing phases, coordinating with product and test teams.
    Drive gap analysis in test strategies and ensure cross-domain ticket resolution.
    Utilize hardware tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and debuggers to assist with troubleshooting.
    Represent the engineering team in customer discussions, ensuring timely consensus and delivery alignment.
    Support vehicle testing for both internal validation and customer-facing events.
    Act as the primary technical contact for customer requirement discussions, internal proposal evaluations, and change request management.
  • Requirements
    Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
    5+ years of experience in system engineering or software requirements engineering in automotive or embedded domains.
    Proven experience in analyzing system-level requirements and architecture, especially for telematics or HMI products.
    Strong understanding of embedded systems, connectivity protocols (e.g., CAN, Ethernet, Bluetooth, WiFi, LTE/5G), and software/hardware interfaces .
    Demonstrated experience in technical documentation and structured problem-solving (e.g., 8D, Fishbone, FTA).
    Familiarity with scripting and version control tools (e.g., Git, Gerrit).
    Excellent communication skills in Japanese (fluent) and English (business level).
    Comfortable working in a global, cross-functional team environment.
  • Preferred
    Experience in automotive ECU development or integration.
    Hands-on knowledge of Embedded Linux, Android OS, or infotainment platforms.
    Experience with automotive project management tools (e.g., JIRA). Experience with automotive project management tools (e.g., JIRA).
