This position acts as the technical bridge between automotive OEM customers and internal hardware/software engineering teams to support audio systems The ideal candidate combines strong hands-on engineering skills with structured problem-solving The ideal candidate combines strong hands-on engineering skills with structured problem-solving ability and a customer-first mindset, capable of managing technical discussions and project milestones independently.

- Responsibilities
- Serve as the single point of contact for all technical and engineering-related customer communications.
Lead and participate in initial and ongoing technical discussions with customers to align expectations and provide fast, effective responses.
Drive resolution of technical issues through creation and presentation of structured problem-solving documents (e.g., 5 Phase, Fishbone, Is/Is Not).
Coordinate engineering changes between Harman and customer, ensuring all deliverables and timelines are met.
Track and manage engineering change progress using customer systems in collaboration with Resident Engineers and Program Managers.
Oversee cross-functional engineering activities to ensure both customer requirements and internal standards are satisfied.
Facilitate alignment across internal engineering disciplines and lead voice-of-customer reviews to ensure accurate delivery.
Support engineering project management by identifying technical milestones and risks.

- Requirements
- 10+ years of engineering experience, ideally in hardware/software development around SoC, MCU, or DSP systems.
Hands-on knowledge of automotive communication protocols such as A2B, CAN, AVB, I2C, etc.
Proven experience in structured problem solving (e.g., 8D, Fault Tree, Fishbone, 5 Phase, Is/Is Not).
Strong customer-facing communication skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Fluent in both Japanese and English.
Comfortable collaborating across global teams.

- Design experience in automotive electronics and/or audio amplifier systems.
Previous experience at a Tier 1 automotive supplier.
Master 's degree in Electrical Engineering.
Experience leading or supporting product launches.
