As a member of the consolidated settlement of accounts, you will be involved in the preparation of appropriate consolidated financial statements, as well as the establishment of accounting policies, such as rules and regulations related to accounting, and their deployment throughout the company.

Job Description

  • Responsibilities
    General operations related to consolidated closing
    ・IFRS accounting procedures (consolidated closing)
    ・Preparation and checking of quarterly financial statements and semi-annual and annual securities reports, etc.
    ・Preparation of English financial statements
    ・Correspondence with accountants
    ・Data compilation and analysis
    ・Preparing and developing global policies related to accounting (preparation of position papers)
    ・Executive reporting Preparation of documents, etc.
  • Requirements
    Accounting knowledge (IFRS/J-GAAP) *Equivalent to level 2 of the Japanese commercial bookkeeping system is required.
    Global communication skills, including English language skills *Many affiliated subsidiaries are located outside of Japan
    (Reading/writing English emails is necessary for business: TOEIC score of 700 or above as a guide)
    - IT knowledge to support accounting operations: It is difficult to propose more efficient, sophisticated, and improved operations without IT knowledge.
  • Preferred
    -Experience in consolidated accounting (software: DIVA)
    -Experience in disclosure
    -Experience in accounting expatriate
    -Ability to read accounting standards and regulations (IFRS/J-GAAP)
    -Ability to speak business English (discussions in English)
    -Experience implementing accounting systems (e.g. defining requirements)
    -Experience implementing operational efficiency improvements
