In Japan, the company maintains R&D facilities dedicated to advanced sensing technologies and intelligent driving systems, supporting global development programs in the field of ADAS and automated driving.

In this role you will be responsible for leading system validation activities for advanced sensing technologies used in ADAS and autonomous driving systems.

This role involves defining validation strategies, coordinating system-level testing, and ensuring the quality and reliability of complex automotive systems. You will lead validation activities from strategy planning through execution and issue resolution, while collaborating closely with development, integration, and quality teams.

Job Description

  • Responsibilities
    Validation Strategy & Planning
    ・Define and manage the system validation roadmap for advanced sensing systems.
    ・Plan validation activities aligned with project milestones and development schedules.

    System Validation & Technical Analysis
    ・Conduct system-level validation and debugging activities.
    ・Ensure validation covers both sensor-level and system-level performance requirements.
    ・Monitor project KPIs and ensure milestone quality targets are achieved.

    Cross-Functional Coordination
    ・Collaborate with development, integration, and quality teams to ensure system reliability.
    ・Translate technical validation findings into actionable improvements for development teams.

    Project Management
    ・Manage validation activities within development projects.
    ・Support customer reporting, risk management, and issue resolution.
  • Requirements
    ・Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, or related fields.
    ・5+ years of experience in automotive system validation.
    ・Strong understanding of radar and ultrasonic sensor technologies and their application in ADAS systems.
    ・Business to advanced level proficiency in Japanese and English.

    Technical Knowledge
    ・Understanding of radar and ultrasonic sensor operation, performance characteristics, and limitations.
    ・Experience applying signal processing concepts for object detection, tracking, and classification.
    ・Knowledge of automotive communication protocols including LIN, CAN/CAN FD, Ethernet, SPI, and similar communication systems.
  • Preferred
    ・Experience working with ADAS or autonomous driving validation frameworks.
    ・Knowledge of V-model and Agile development methodologies.
    ・Experience with test automation tools such as Python, CAPL, or Robot Framework.
    ・Hands-on experience with validation tools such as CANoe, CANape, dSPACE, or ETAS.
    ・Knowledge of ISO 26262, ASPICE, or similar safety and quality standards.
    ・Familiarity with CI/CD systems such as Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD.
    ・Experience collaborating with global OEMs or Tier-1 suppliers.
