This position leads the production technology area and promotes the formulation and implementation of medium- to long-term strategies and production roadmaps for satellite mass production.
You will lead the construction and start-up of AIT (assembly, integration, and testing) processes and production lines, and implement improvements across design and manufacturing from a QCD perspective.

Job Description

  • Responsibilities
    ■Lead
    production technology-related work and involve other teams to contribute to the achievement of the goals of related teams and groups.
    ・Develop the younger generation.
    ■Formulation and implementation
    of short- and long-term production roadmaps and plans ・Contribute to the formulation of ASJP's medium- to long-term strategies, focusing on the areas in charge.
    ・Draw the production process of satellite mass production.
    ・From understanding the current situation to extracting issues, and considering an action plan to solve the problem.
    ・Utilize the knowledge of production technology for spacecraft, aircraft, automobiles, and other similar products to formulate and implement action plans.
    ■Realization
    of simultaneous production of multiple satellites ・Contribute to the construction of a production system while cooperating with procurement and production management.
    ・Planning, start-up, and stable operation of the production line with superiors and members.
    ■Improvement
    of product drawings by Simertenius Engineering ・We will make better proposals through QCD from both design and manufacturing perspectives.
    ■Build and execute
    AIT (satellite assembly, integration, and testing)-related processes ・Formulate AIT plans. (Formulation of daily schedules in collaboration with the design department, schedule adjustment due to delays in delivery of parts and information)
    ・Lead the construction of AIT procedure manuals (including coordination with the design department and M-BOM construction) and continuous improvement (PDCA) after the start of operation.
    ・Identify and solve technical issues at the site, bridge between the site and the design department, and take the lead in the field, including environmental maintenance.
    ・GSE (Ground Support Equipment. Jigs, equipment) will be introduced and maintained. (Specification study, arrangement, and introduction lead for propulsion system jigs, shipping containers, rollover trolleys, etc.)
    ■Development of jigs necessary for spacecraft and component manufacturing
  • Requirements
    ・Practical experience
    as a leader or member of a small and medium-sized engineering team ・About 5 years of production technology-related work experience
    in the aerospace industry, aviation industry, or similar industries such as automobiles ・Experience in manufacturing work
    such as process design, jig design, quality control, etc. ・Ability to read drawings, and the ability
    to create specifications for jigs, etc. ・Japanese business level or higher (equivalent to JLPT N1)
    ・Ability to manage schedules and create reports using M365 (Excel, word, Powerpoint, Teams, Sharepoint, MS project, etc.)
  • Preferred
    ・Knowledge
    of debris removal, EOL (End-of-Life), and orbital services ・Knowledge
    of systems such as spacecraft, aircraft, and automobiles ・Experience in planning and launching
