A German-based automotive component manufacturer and one of the world's largest automotive suppliers.
As a manufacturer of components and systems for combustion engines and their peripherals, the company is one of the world's three largest system suppliers in the areas of engine systems and components, filtration and engine peripherals, thermal management, electronics and mechatronics, and the aftermarket.

This German mega-supplier is looking for a sales representative to work as a sales representative for Honda.
Product knowledge is not required as it depends on the organization to which you are assigned. You will be able to assign products that match your experience from a variety of product modules, such as filters and thermal products.
We are looking for a wide range of candidates for this position, including those who have been exposed to technology but would like to try sales activities,
including those who have experience in automotive sales.

Job Description

  • Responsibilities
    1. Strategy
    Support the definition and implementation of a medium and long term key account sales strategy, taking
    into consideration the specific needs of the customer. Support establishing the current, medium and
    long term plans and follow the objectives set by the Director, Sales / Key Account Manager. Develop
    and direct worldwide / global sales activities together with the customer for the defined product range
    and customer group in order to maximize profitable growth of the market share at the customer.

    2. Budget
    Set up and review budgets in line with key account budget / regional management, compare acivities
    and results with previously established budgets and take appropriate corrective measures in case of
    deviations.

    3. Acquisition of new projects
    Pursue new business opportunities by collecting information in early stage of the sourcing activities;
    generate profitable sales opportunities fort he dedicated product range, research on sales feasibility of
    MAHLE products for customer and define target product portfolio according to customer’s need. Define
    and agree target price based on the minimum sales price calcuated by the Bus in line with key account
    strategy. Supervise the acquisition process as outlined in MAHLE’s product development process.

    4. Sales processes and communication, Project management & Application engineering
    Responsibility of setting the prices and coordinating the global / regional pricing fort he defined product
    range in agreement with the company’s poicy; negotiation and conclusions of contracts with the
    customer; communicate, give guidance and authorization to team members to carry out major plans and
    procedures, consistent with established policies; keep close contact and excellent collaboration with the
    Bus and mutually address the challenges coming from the market and PDP-projects. Participate in PAC
    & PRC. Act as Project Manager for PDP-projects with “normal complexity“ if required.

    5. Market observation
    Define market demand and potential as well as technical trend and competitors analysis. Forward the
    information internally tot he Bus and related departments.

    6. Customer relationship management
    Establish long term relationship to the customer and strengthen contract network within different
    customer’s organization levels and functions in ordert o be considered a strategic supplier of high
    technical competency and commercial competitiveness
    .
    7. Customer complaints and Customer satisfaction
    Ensure the processing of customer complaints based on quality standards of MAHLE. Constantly
    monitor customer satisfaction, analyze the results as well define and ensure implementation of
    measurements and actions fort he continuous improvement of customer satisfaction.

    8. Leadership management
    Select, lead, motivate and develop subordinates regarding the company’s leadership principles and in
    line with key account strategy.
