You will be responsible for purchasing activities across Japan, including supplier selection, commercial negotiations, cost reduction, purchase-order execution, supplier performance, and purchasing-process improvement.

In this role you will work closely with commodity, program, and indirect purchasing teams while supporting plants, project teams, finance, legal, quality, and regional leadership. Although this is a manager-level title, the position includes a considerable amount of hands-on purchasing execution and operational support.

You will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, from supplier quality control, evaluation, and auditing to the formulation of incoming inspection standards, defect analysis, and improvement activities. At the forefront of the space industry, you play a crucial role in promoting the quality improvement of manufacturing processes by collaborating with suppliers to achieve high-quality manufacturing.
