Supply Chain Coordinator

In this role, you will act as the main operational interface between automotive customers and internal supply-chain teams.

You will manage customer orders and demand information, coordinate production and delivery planning, monitor inventory and supply risks, and work closely with manufacturing, procurement, logistics, and sales teams to ensure products are delivered on time.

Rather than simply processing orders, you will actively identify supply issues, coordinate recovery actions, and help maintain stable customer service levels.

Job Description

  • Responsibilities
    ■Customer Demand & Order Management
    ・Manage customer demand including orders, forecasts, and ERP planning data.
    ・Analyze forecast changes and align customer requirements with production plans.
    ・Confirm supply feasibility for quantities and delivery dates.

    ■ Delivery & Supply Coordination
    ・Coordinate delivery schedules and shipment status with customers.
    ・Maintain stable supply by working with production, procurement, and logistics.
    ・Resolve delivery delays and escalate critical supply risks when needed.

    ■ Supply Chain Operations
    ・Monitor end-to-end supply progress across procurement, production, inventory, and logistics.
    ・Manage planning parameters such as safety stock, lead times, and MOQ.
    ・Support logistics activities including packaging, transportation, and export.
    ・Identify supply-chain risks and support mitigation.

    ■Customer & Cross-Functional Coordination
    ・Serve as customer supply contact for assigned automotive OEMs.
    ・Communicate demand and delivery changes in customer meetings.
    ・Coordinate internally with Sales, Production, Purchasing, and Logistics.
    ・Support new product launches and customer onboarding.

    ■Operational Improvement
    ・Improve delivery performance and service levels.
    ・Enhance planning and risk processes for operational efficiency.
    ・Support knowledge transfer to maintain continuity.
  • Requirements
    ・Approximately 2–3+ years of experience in production control, production planning, or a related manufacturing function.
    ・Experience using SAP or a comparable ERP system.
    ・Experience managing and analyzing data using Excel or similar tools.
    ・Understanding of manufacturing and production flows.
    ・Ability to independently identify issues and drive actions.
    ・Business-level Japanese or English (assignments may focus on domestic or international accounts depending on language capability)
    ・Regular travel is not expected.
    ・Customer-site visits may occur when serious supply or delivery issues arise.
  • Preferred
    ・Experience coordinating with customers, OEMs, or internal stakeholders.
    ・Automotive supply-chain experience.
    ・Experience with demand planning, delivery management, inventory control, or logistics.
    ・Experience handling supply shortages, delivery delays, or crisis situations.
    ・Knowledge of factory production processes.
