The function is responsible for managing Group Network Development and dealer business improvement activities for a leading global automotive company in Japan, primarily across its passenger vehicle dealer networks.
The role develops and monitors long-term network strategies, supports new dealer and investor development, maintains strong relationships with dealers and business partners, and contributes to building a sustainable, efficient, and financially healthy dealer network.
Key responsibilities include managing Network Development activities and contracts, expanding BEV charging infrastructure, ensuring compliance with corporate identity, facility, and infrastructure standards, supporting cross-brand network projects, overseeing dealer-facing systems such as DMS and CRM, and conducting dealer audits and mystery shopping activities.
The role also analyzes BMRS data, recommends dealer business improvement measures, prepares regular reporting and risk management updates, and works closely with Sales, After Sales, dealers, investors, and internal management functions to ensure strategic alignment, operational compliance, customer experience quality, digital readiness, and long-term network sustainability.

- Main Responsibilities
Network Strategy and Development
Supervise and facilitate network strategy planning by proposing multiple alternatives based on analysis of market share data, competitor network structures, market potential, and other relevant factors. Lead network development projects in accordance with the approved strategy for the company's vehicle brands.
Network Development – New Investor Appointment
Recruit new investors or appoint suitable investors from existing business partners to address network coverage gaps. Conduct a structured selection process involving multiple candidates and evaluate their proposed business plans, including showroom concepts, financial stability, business capabilities, and long-term reliability as business partners. Present and align the final selection with the respective brand's senior management.
Network Development – Dealer Replacement and Reorganization
Replace underperforming dealers with new investors or existing business partners through termination, consolidation, or M&A, depending on the circumstances. Develop and execute network reorganization plans while minimizing legal and operational risks, followed by a structured investor selection process in line with the company's network development procedures.
Network Development – Facility Enhancement
Lead existing dealer facility enhancement projects, including relocation, refurbishment, and reconstruction. Negotiate investment requirements with dealers and investors and coordinate with relevant internal departments and external suppliers to ensure smooth project execution. Obtain the necessary approvals from local senior management and relevant global headquarters functions.
Dealer Contract Management
Finalize dealer agreements and amendments based on global master agreements, in collaboration with relevant internal departments and external legal counsel. Monitor compliance with contractual obligations after signing and take corrective action when necessary.
Charging Network Development
Facilitate charging network initiatives in collaboration with group companies and external partners. Supervise the planning and execution of the charging network strategy across the existing dealer network, group brands, and third-party charging infrastructure providers. Manage related contractual activities and support the establishment of BEV-related infrastructure and facilities, including battery service and competence centers.
DMS and CRM Development
Lead projects to develop and upgrade Dealer Management Systems (DMS) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms. Act as project owner, supervise dedicated project management teams, and ensure projects are delivered on time and to the required quality standards across relevant business functions.
Dealer Profitability and Financial Performance Management
Monitor dealer profitability through BMRS, ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial data, analyze dealer performance, and identify measures to improve profitability. Prepare and distribute BMRS-based financial and risk management reports using dealer financial performance data.
Retail Audit Management
Supervise annual online and on-site retail audits for the company's dealer network in Japan. Communicate audit processes, findings, results, and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders. Analyze audit outcomes, follow up with dealers that do not meet required standards, and manage external audit and mystery shopping vendors.
Mystery Shopping Management
Supervise annual mystery shopping programs across the dealer network in Japan in line with brand requirements. Communicate results to relevant stakeholders, develop follow-up actions for dealers that do not meet required standards, and manage external mystery shopping vendors.
Digital Customer Journey Projects
Supervise digital development initiatives related to the customer journey under Network Management, including e-commerce platforms, customer applications, connected-car services, vehicle transaction platforms, and other key digital solutions. Coordinate with relevant internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful implementation and alignment with overall network strategy.

-Excellent project management experience (Business/IT), with the ability to lead complex cross-functional projects from planning through execution
