The Vehicle Validation & Analysis Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality, functionality, and technical readiness of prototype and pre-series vehicles through vehicle testing, evaluation, analysis, and validation.
The role acts as a key interface between local testing operations and global headquarters, identifying technical issues, coordinating corrective actions, and ensuring vehicle systems meet project and quality requirements.

- Responsibilities
- Perform testing and validation of new vehicle functions following vehicle introduction, hardware changes, and software updates.
Evaluate whole-vehicle functions, systems, and system interactions to assess vehicle maturity and performance.
Diagnose technical issues, conduct root cause analysis, and coordinate corrective actions.
Coordinate vehicle testing and validation activities across multiple vehicle brands and development programs.
Manage special testing programs requested by global headquarters.
Assess technical issues using local market/customer insights and determine appropriate escalation and resolution paths.
Monitor issues identified during daily testing and ensure appropriate prioritization, documentation, reporting, and follow-up.
Analyze test results and provide technical recommendations to support engineering and project decisions.
Collaborate with headquarters, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to review findings and implement countermeasures.
Maintain consistent whole-vehicle testing standards across test locations and support the readiness and continuous improvement of testing facilities, equipment, and processes.
Support the qualification and ongoing competency development of test drivers.

- Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or equivalent qualification, in a technical field.
Comprehensive understanding of whole-vehicle systems, functions, and vehicle architectures.
Experience analyzing and evaluating vehicle functions, system interactions, and test results.
Ability to conduct vehicle testing and accurately document findings and results.
Strong technical problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
Ability to work effectively with headquarters, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
Strong willingness to learn new vehicle technologies, systems, and testing methodologies.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Strong commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
Japanese: Intermediate level.
English: Business level.
