This position involves research and development of autonomous driving and advanced safety technologies (AD/ADAS), which are at the core of next-generation mobility.

You will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, from developing essential technologies necessary for realizing autonomous driving, including AI, image recognition, sensor fusion, vehicle control, and simulation technologies, to actual vehicle evaluation. This environment allows you to contribute to the realization of next-generation autonomous driving systems from multiple perspectives, including algorithm development, system design, software development, ECU development, and UI/UX design.

Job Description

  • Responsibilities
    (1) Assigned Development Areas, Work Overview, and Role Within R&D, Positions
    This department develops elements for next-generation autonomous driving and advanced safety technologies within R&D. Handles a wide range of development tasks related to AD/ADAS, from developing external recognition and vehicle control algorithms to hardware design of AD ECUs and simulator environment construction.

    (2) Specific responsibilities, expected roles both inside and outside the department, and positions
    You are expected to demonstrate expertise in each development theme and lead development as a core engineer.
    ・System development
    for commercializing AI-based autonomous driving technology ・Development of fusion algorithms
    that integrate high-resolution cameras, high-resolution millimeter-wave radar, and next-generation LIDAR information to recognize the driving environment around the vehicle ・Development
    of next-generation LIDAR object recognition algorithms ・Building an integrated development environment
    for data analysis with multi-sensor input ・Development of comprehensive simulation systems
    ・Design and development

    of UI/UX for next-generation AD systems utilizing AI (3) Workplace environment and work styles (team composition, atmosphere, characteristics) Members
    with various specialized fields actively engage in discussions and work toward the challenging goal of realizing and promoting autonomous driving. Many mid-career hires are active regardless of their specialty, making it a workplace where you can create products together with suppliers and vendors with advanced domestic and international technologies, creating a sense of diversity.
  • Requirements
    Regardless of industry, experience in the essential technologies required for autonomous driving (either hardware or software is acceptable)
    (e.g.,
    experience in
    system design or control design development) ・Experience in image processing and machine learning development
    ・Experience
    in developing various simulation environments ・Experience in hardware and software design and software development for sensors and ECUs, as well as software

    development experience in the automotive industry: preferred

  • Preferred
    ・At least 2 years of experience in Model-Based Design (MBD) using MATLAB and Simulink, or in software development using C/C++, Python, or ROS
