In the mobility industry, where electrification and SDVs (Software Defined Vehicles) are accelerating, this position is responsible for developing OBD (On-Board Diagnostics) systems that support vehicle safety, environmental performance, and regulatory compliance.

We are consistently involved in OBD control system requirements development, control design, simulation evaluation, regulatory compliance, and certification work for a wide range of powertrains including engine vehicles, hybrid vehicles, EVs, and e-POWER. Through diagnostic and monitoring systems essential for next-generation vehicle development, you will contribute to improving the quality and reliability of vehicles for the global market.

Job Description

  • Responsibilities
    ■ Specific Responsibilities and Roles
    Expected Inside and Outside Your Department You will be entrusted with a wide range of tasks based on your experience and skills. You will drive projects in collaboration with members both inside and outside the team, overseas offices, and sometimes industry professionals.

    1. Design and development of control systems using model-based development (MBD):
    ・Design, simulation, and verification
    of control logic using Matlab/Simulink, etc.; Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) simulation environment construction and utilization for real-machine evaluation

    2. OBD System Requirements Development and Functional Design:
    ・Interpretation and analysis of domestic and international OBD regulations, and translating
    them into specific vehicle system requirements ・Detailed functional design and control algorithm development to realize required functions

    3. Integration of Advanced Technologies and OBD Systems:
    ・Development of OBD systems unique to e-POWER/EV (battery, motor control systems, etc.)
    ・Participation in planning and development of next-generation OBD systems utilizing SDV and connected technologies

    4. Project management and external affairs:
    ・Planning OBD system development plans, progress management, risk management
    ・Negotiating with domestic and international certification authorities, preparing and submitting technical documents

    ・Teams are composed of section managers, assistant managers, team leaders, and responsible layers, each with their own area of control specialized.
    ・Daily tasks are carried out by exchanging ideas with team leaders and responsible teams.
    ・By collaborating with multiple teams within the department and other departments involved in determining control specifications, we pool knowledge and experience to find solutions and ways to achieve goals.

    with support and advice from expert leaders. ・We collaborate with overseas offices and have commitments with industry stakeholders (competitors and organizations), so we often work in a very global environment and have many opportunities for overseas business

  • Requirements
    ・Basic knowledge
    in any of the fields of mechanical engineering, electrical and electronic engineering, control engineering, or information engineering ・Interest
    in cars, engines, motors, and sponsors ・Interest and strengths
    in computers, software, and IT tools ・TOEIC: 600 points or higher
  • Preferred
    ・Experience
    in designing, simulating, and verifying control logic in model-based development (MBD) environments using Matlab / Simulink ・Experience in developing and evaluating
    automotive OBD systems, engine control, transmission control, HV/EV control, battery control, or related diagnostic communications (CAN, UDS, DOIP, etc.) ・Experience in product development, design, evaluation, or project
    management in the automotive industry ・Experience
    building and utilizing simulation environments such as HILS, SILS, MILS ・Knowledge
    of exhaust gas and fuel efficiency regulations ・Experience in promoting
    operations in project leader or equivalent roles ・Technical discussions, presentations, and collaboration with
    overseas offices in English ・TOEIC: 730 points or higher
