Validate autonomous driving software releases by translating product requirements into simulation scenarios, implementing evaluation metrics, and producing validation reports. The role uses an existing simulation platform and reviews product-defined expected behaviors and acceptance thresholds for technical soundness and testability.
Job Description
-
- Responsibilities
- ・Develop simulation validation plans based on product requirements and the operational design domain (ODD). Maintain traceability between requirements, test scenarios, evaluation metrics, and validation results.
・Build and maintain test scenarios using graphical scenario editing tools, covering nominal driving conditions, safety-relevant situations, and functional boundaries. Use APIs and Python scripts to parameterize scenarios and expand test coverage.
・Review expected behaviors and acceptance thresholds provided by Product, identifying criteria that are unreasonable, inconsistent, or not testable. Provide timely, evidence-based feedback, resolve ambiguities with relevant stakeholders, and translate agreed criteria into executable evaluation metrics.
・Run regression tests and targeted validation for software releases. Manage test baselines and configurations to ensure reproducible results and meaningful comparisons across versions.
・Analyze test failures and behavioral regressions, distinguishing system defects from scenario issues and simulation artifacts. Track fixes through revalidation and convert findings from real-world testing into regression scenarios.
・Produce version validation reports covering requirements coverage, scenario-level results, blocking issues, validation limitations, and residual risks. Provide recommendations on release readiness within the validated scope.
-
- Requirements
- ・Experience in autonomous driving, ADAS, or robotics system validation, with the ability to independently analyze requirements, design scenarios, implement metrics, and interpret test results.
・Practical experience with closed-loop simulation and regression testing. Understanding of perception, prediction, planning, and control, and how to evaluate driving behavior.
・Proficiency in Python scripting and data analysis, including API integration, scenario parameter handling, metric calculation, and log analysis. Familiarity with ・Linux and Git.
・Sound engineering judgment to assess the reasonableness and applicability of expected behaviors and acceptance thresholds, supported by scenario analysis and test evidence.
