Certified NPO Kid’s Door x Turnpoint Consulting Office Tour|CSR Event Report Vol. 1
On April 5, we recently welcomed seven elementary and junior high school children from Kids Door, a certified NPO, for a tour of our office.
First, we took them around the entire office to show them the points of ingenuity of our office environment and the employees at work to give them a sense of the atmosphere of the company and the image of working as a working member of society. The employees were just working in a relaxed atmosphere, joking around with each other, so we believe we gave them a fun and positive impression of the company.

Afterwards, a social event was held with the employees. Hanako, Tatsuya, and Nawon participated in the meeting as voluntary volunteers.
First, each of them gave a brief self-introduction in English, explaining what they do and how they have studied English so far. The children seemed to be interested and listened intently to the explanation.
Next, it was time for lunch together with the employees, and we enjoyed chatting and eating pizza. The children quickly became acquainted with the employees as they talked about employees, work, and various other topics with the Kids’ Door staff.
Furthermore, the children asked the employees questions in English using the question cards they had prepared, and seemed to enjoy interacting with the employees while learning English.

Finally, we moved on to a question-and-answer session with Andre, our company representative. First, Andre had time to introduce himself, and the employees were surprised to learn that he likes pineapples and hates airplanes, topics that they had never heard of before.
The children then worked in groups to create questions by rearranging the given English vocabulary cards, which they then posed to Andre in English, listening intently so as not to miss his English answers.

The children, who looked nervous at first, left at the end with smiles on their faces and waving hands. Our employees were sad to see them go, but sent them off with smiles on their faces. We hope to see them again someday when they are a little older.
At Turnpoint Consulting, our mission is to create turning points in business and careers through career change. We understand that English can be a turning point in one’s life in general and in one’s career in particular, and this is especially true for our employees who use English on a daily basis. That is why we are very happy that we were able to create an opportunity for children to become interested in English, to learn to use English, to go abroad, and to work using English.
Turnpoint Consulting’s CSR activities focus on activities that are turning points in people’s lives. What we can do may be small, but we hope that we can help those involved to envision a better future.
