In this position, you will be responsible for the overall design process of structural and mechanical components used in satellite systems, including CAD modeling, drawing creation, BOM (Bill of Materials) maintenance and management, as well as contributing to the optimization of the overall satellite structure through layout design utilizing large-scale assembly models. In addition to modeling, drawing, BOM (Bill of Materials) maintenance and management using CAD. You will be involved not only in CAD operations but also in improving design quality, playing an important role in supporting the development of next-generation space technology at the forefront.

Job Description

  • Responsibilities
    Modeling and design work (using CAD) of structural and mechanical components for satellites
    ・Product drawings and design-related documents
    ・Creation and management of BOM (Bill of Materials)
    ・Promoting layout design and structural optimization using large-scale assembly models
    ・Supporting structural design and integrated design from a system-wide perspective
    ・Design Process improvement and feedback for quality improvement
    ・Collaboration with other departments (system design, manufacturing, quality control, etc.)
    ・Contribution to the development of next-generation space technology through high-precision structural design

  • Requirements
    The candidate should be able to understand 2D drawings and use CAD to create 3D models.
    Ability to build large assembly models using CAD.
    Able to create parts drawings using CAD.
    Able to create assembly drawings using CAD.
    Knowledge of BOM (Bill of Materials).
    Knowledge of processing methods for metal and plastic materials.
    The ability to select appropriate materials for each structure and to design for mechanical and cost considerations.
    Knowledge of "Mechanics of Materials" and "Mechanics of Machinery".
  • Preferred
    Knowledge of various surface treatments.
    Knowledge of fluid dynamics and thermodynamics.
    Experience in development of artificial satellites, flying vehicles, gas turbine engines, automobiles, etc.
    Experience in conducting various tests.
