Prepare various procedures for spacecraft such as satellites and atmospheric re-entry vehicles, as well as their subsystems, including assembly procedures based on parts and assembly drawings, and test procedures based on test requirements. The candidate will also be responsible for the management of the results of the assembly/test work.

Job Description

  • Responsibilities
    Create and manage assembly procedures based on assembly drawings of spacecraft systems and their subsystems (including component mounting, wiring, piping and outfitting)
    - Create and manage test procedures based on verification requirements for system and subsystem tests
    - Conduct system and subsystem tests as a team, and manage results and progress
    Select equipment, fixtures, and measurement tools required for airframe manufacturing and various tests in cooperation with the engineer in charge.
  • Requirements
    At least 5 years of experience in the development, manufacturing, and testing of aircraft and spacecraft
    - Experience writing various procedures based on mechanical/thermal and electrical manufacturing drawings and test requirements
    - Knowledge of manufacturing and test standards (MIL, NASA, and JAXA documents, etc.) in the development of aircraft and spacecraft
  • Preferred
    Experience in production engineering/manufacturing management of aircraft and spacecraft
    - Knowledge of quality assurance of aircraft and spacecraft
    - Experience in manufacturing and testing using assembly tools and various measuring instruments
    - Experience in development in a start-up company.
